Activate Community Development Course: We have free places available on the Activate course in community development, starting on Tuesday the 12th July.  The course will run 1-4pm on Tuesday afternoons until the end of September in Calton.  We’re happy to reimburse any travel, childcare or other costs participants have to pay for coming on the course. We are looking for people who live, work, volunteer or have a connection to Anderston, Finnieston, Bridgeton and Dalmarnock to join us on the course.  There are no fixed boundaries for what ‘counts’ as being part of these areas – if would describe yourself as having a connection to any of these parts of Glasgow, we want to hear from you  If you or someone you know might be interested in coming on the course, or have any questions, please contact Lisa Garnham on 0141 330 1924 or lisa.garnham@gla.ac.uk.  She can tell you more about the course, why it’s being run and discuss whether you’d like to join it.

Black History Month takes place during the month of October and thank you to those who have submitted ideas already. This year CRER have partnered with Africa in Motion (AiM) to offer an exciting summer programme engaging young people between the ages of 18-25 in a mentorship and curation course looking at Black heritage in Scotland. ‘Reviving Scotland’s Black History’ application form is attached. Alternatively you can apply by clicking on the following survey monkey link. https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/FNPC99L
